Route 21 records Recording Studio

My name is Jeremy Liptrap. I am the owner, engineer and producer for Route 21 Records. The recording studio has been operational since 2014 as my personal production studio and limited to friends and family. It has been one of the best kept secrets in the Charleston area, but now we are ready to open our doors to the public!

Starting as a guitar player at age 14, I quickly gravitated towards audio production and electronic music production before the age of 20, purchasing my first 4-track analogue tape recorder in 1999. A year later, I purchased my first digital recording interface and began to dive deep into the world of MIDI and VST instruments. Over the years I have worked as a session player and beat maker for hire, as well as an engineer at other local studios in the area, working with some of the finest musicians in West Vriginia in various styles including jazz, heavy metal, rap and even dubstep.

The studio is equiped with 16 input channels of low noise Presonus XMAX preamps. We also have several outboard premium tube preamps and compressors, professional microphones from Shure, AKG, CAD and Rode in a well treated room, providing professional quality analogue to digital recording.
